underway. Please return your forms as soon as possible. If you are not
planning to return to St. Paul Parochial, please let us know as soon as

CATHOLIC IDENTITY
SURVEY…
is coming home today or tomorrow with the youngest child in the family.
This is part of our accreditation process. Please answer the
questions and return the survey to the school office by
Tuesday, June 1st. Thank You!
NEW K/1 TEACHER…We
are pleased to announce that Ms. Jenny Benson will be our new K/1
teacher. She worked as a long-term substitute for Mrs. Merrill for 3
months in 2008. Ms. Benson graduated from Heritage Christian High
School in Hillsboro and received her Bachelor of Science
degree in elementary education from George Fox University. She has
experienced our day-to-day operations in a variety of grades and
already knows many of our students. We will be very fortunate to have
her on staff.
SCRIP NEWS…
A new shipment of gift cards has been ordered. We will have the
following available Friday morning. If we don’t have what
you need, we can order it. Father’s Day and Graduation is coming
soon!

LIBRARY
REMINDER… All
library books are due the first week of June. Please make
sure that your student returns all books so we can get the library
ready for next year. Thank you!
BOOK
CLUB… Tomorrow, May
27th, in the library during the regular lunchtime. Our final Book Club
selection for the year is "Fablehaven" by Brandon Mull. If your child
loves to read ~ we would love to have him/her join our club! All
students in 3rd-6th grade are welcome.
ATTENTION
BUS RIDERS… Thursday,
June 3rd is the last day of bus service. So, starting Friday,
June 4th to the end of our school year, you will need to find alternate
transportation for your students. There will NOT be bus
service June 4th – June 14th. NOTE… hot lunch WILL
be provided on these days.
PARENT’S
CLUB MEETING…next
Thursday, June 3rd, 8 AM at the Banker’s Cup. Be
sure to cast your vote for a new vice-president and secretary. Ballot
is attached.
BRING
IN THOSE BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION…
between now and June 4th. An extra recess will be granted if $37.50
worth of box tops are collected – if $75.00 worth of box tops
are collected an extra dress-down day will be granted.
PLUS…it is raising money for the school.
OFFICE DEPOT…
Did you know that when you are checking out at an Office Depot store,
if you give them the school’s ID #70084486, your purchase
amount goes towards dollars back to our school. We just received $28.74
that can be used towards purchases for the school at Office Depot. So,
write the ID# 70084486 down and use it the next time you shop at Office
Depot.

CROSS BLOOD
DRIVE…WE NEED YOU!!
at the St. Paul Fire Hall on Wednesday, June 2nd, from 1:30-6 PM. This
is the best gift you could give to anyone. The need is constant and
your time and donation are truly appreciated. No appointment necessary.
Personal identification required. Individuals under age 16 (with
parental consent) are eligible to donate. There is no upper
age limit. Babysitting is available and refreshments will be served.

PARADE FUN…
As a fun summer event for our families, we are entering the St. Paul
Fourth of July parade as well as Newberg's Old Fashioned Days parade
this year! To help plan for these events, we would like to have an idea
of how many families may be participating. Please view the parade flier
attachment for details. Signing up to participate in the parades does
not state your commitment, only your possible interest. Sign up at the

UNIFORM EXCHANGE…
Parents! Remember to bring in your kids outgrown uniforms for our
uniform exchange. Please make sure they are clean and free of tears and
holes. If you are running low on the right size uniforms to last
through the year, come and look through the storage
closet. We have all the uniforms sorted by size. Anyone is welcome to
take what they may need. ALSO, LOST & FOUND… if your
children are missing jackets, sweatshirts or anything please check the
lost and found. If not claimed by the end of the school year all items
will be donated.

Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland”, Jr. at
the Wiegand Arts Center on Friday, May 28th at 7 PM & Saturday,
May 29th at 2 & 7 PM. General admission is $5.00 –
Students/Senior’s are
$3.00.
RECYCLING
NEWS… Good job getting in those Campbell Soup Point
labels. Mrs. Sloan was able to send in 546 labels and 526 bonus points.
Another 546 bonus points will be granted when the labels arrive in
Minnesota. Thank you to everyone who brought in labels. Be sure to save
your labels over the summer. See the attached Recycle Newsletter and
information on new items to recycle.

PICTURES…packets and
money are being picked up by a Lifetouch representative on Thursday,
May 27th. If you haven’t returned your packet of pictures
and/or money, please get them to the office by 8 AM on Thursday, May
