Breakfast
Fundraiser
Social events come
in many different ways. In St. Paul, it means a Community
Breakfast sponsored by the St. Paul Catholic Church. A gathering
of family and friends from the community and surrounding
areas to have breakfast together during the winter months.
What a great idea.
Starting in November through February, on the
second Sunday of the month, parishioners and other
community members gather to put on a breakfast for each
other. . Some of the menu items served at the different
breakfasts are:
| Sample Menu: Hotcakes, ham, scrambled eggs,
coffee, milk or juice |
Other food choices that you might be served at a breakfast:
French Toast, sausage, cinnamon rolls. The menu is always
changing.
A Country Store offering home baked goods
and crafts for you to purchase is a special attraction
at these community breakfasts. You dont want to leave
without a stop at the Country Store.
Maybe you enjoy a Raffle. Each breakfast will have
one or two raffle items to take your chances on. You might
have a chance to win a ham, birdhouses, sweatshirts, ceramics,
plants or a basket of fruit. The items vary.
How are the breakfasts organized? The St. Paul community
is divided into four groups defined by the location of your
home. Each group has assigned chair people that rotate on
a two-year basis. These chair people will also be in charge
of coordinating their team during the rodeo to help work
a shift for the Chicken BBQ booth. Each year the groups
also rotate one shift forward, so that each group gets a
chance to work a different time of the year.
If you are interested in participating or have any questions,
please contact the parish house at 503.633.4611. Someone
will return your call with a name of the current years chairperson.
